OOAK Art Dolls Supplies: Impressions
Some of you may remember the blog post I made back in early June entitled: Where To Buy OOAK Art Doll Supplies? Well, I'd like to update this information with a transaction (or rather, botched attempt to buy) experience.
Before I continue, firstly I'd like to apologise for falling behind in my blog posts over this last month. Besides being extraordinarily busy, I've also been extraordinarily sick. I've never been a particularly healthy individual, but now some blood tests and various specialists are discovering things I didn't know about.
Neato.
Now back to my story. Remember http://www.sculpt.com/ ? They stock almost everything an artist like me looks for. Their range of tools are fabulous. Their range of aluminium armature wires is the best I've seen anywhere. I've heard many good reports of the company by a number of reputable artists in the sculpture industry. So, I decided recently that I'd look into making a purchase. I picked out a bunch of items that I thought would be useful for me in the near future, and sent them an email requesting a shipping quote (would you buy an item from Ebay without first knowing the price of shipping?). Aware of the fact they need to weigh the order to judge shipping costs, I gave them a rundown of the products I would want in my order. They responded promptly with the following message:
"Yes we can give you a quote.
The package(s) will be prepared today.
You will then receive an email with the shipping quote.
We will need the credit card information at that time."
Um......... say what? So much for just making an enquiry about shipping costs. Anyway, I figured, "I'm going want these items soon enough anyway, I may as well get them now. Besides, they've already prepared the...
